Born in İzmir, Gökçe is a true lover of the sea and nature. She has always been fascinated by how things work and the mysterious forces that keep life and nature in balance. This curiosity first led her to become an engineer—and later, to seek the unknown beyond science.
After graduating as an engineer from METU, Gökçe worked in major corporations, yet she never stopped questioning the meaning of life. As she searched for answers to the endless “Why?”, she found herself drawn to Eastern arts and philosophies as a way to cultivate a healthy and balanced life. During university, she began practicing Aikido, a journey that lasted over a decade. After nearly 10 years of dedication, she earned her 2nd Dan black belt, certified by Aikikai Japan.

The holistic philosophy of yoga effortlessly drew Gökçe in. After practicing for a few years, she traveled to Bali for her first teacher training. Mesmerized by the vast and profound wisdom behind yoga, she extended her stay for over two months, completing two separate teacher trainings and returning to Turkey as an RYT500-certified instructor.
After co-founding Yoga Candır with Zeynep, she went on to teach countless classes and workshops in both Bali and Turkey. She has served as both a teacher and assistant in various trainings and workshops, continuously deepening her practice. A Yoga Alliance E-RYT500 instructor, Gökçe has studied with renowned teachers such as Rod Stryker, Meghan Currie, Kino MacGregor, Doug Swenson, and Simon Borg-Olivier—and continues to learn from them.
Beyond yoga, Gökçe is also a Level 3 Reiki Master, following the teachings of Mikao Usui, dedicated to training compassionate healers. Captivated by the limitless wisdom of astrology, she is a lifelong student of the subject and regularly leads astrology workshops.
