Our Yoga Style

Our teacher trainings are rooted in Hatha Yoga, with a focus on the alignment based Vinyasa style. We also give our students a short introduction to Yin yoga.

Each day in our 200-hour course is a different, playful and unique adventure. We guide our students through a variety of physical movement, deep meditation, theoretical and practical lectures. 

Even though our course is an intensive teacher training, we are mindful not to overload our students, leaving plenty of time for relaxation and exploration of what Bali has to offer

Weekly Overview

In week one, we focus on building a strong foundation and introducing the students to the basics of asana practice, yoga philosophy and yogic diet. It is important to build a solid foundation of the basics before diving deeper into the more advanced principles of yoga. We also start building our students’ teaching skills by focusing on and exploring the breakdown of the Sun Salutations.

In week two, we dive deeper into how to notice and correct misalignments, we explore the different bandhas, mindful transitions and the ethics of teaching yoga. We also get familiar with and learn about the Yoga Sutras and practice teaching standing poses.

In week three; we focus on building our students’ teaching skills and helping them to take it to the next level, focusing on seated poses, injuries and empowering our students to find their own yoga teacher voice. We practice designing advanced sequences, how to hold space and how to introduce extra content to the classes. We also learn about the chakras and the energy anatomy of the body.

The students will undergo a huge shift and personal transformation in the first three weeks of the program, so week four is all about integration and bringing the asana practice and philosophy together. We will also practice and learn ways to bring our yoga practice into our modern daily life (beyond the mat) and how to confidently share it with others. During this week, the students will practice teaching a full class and learn how to embrace what makes their teaching style unique. We will also cover business tips, tools and strategies on how to build a thriving and sustainable career as a yoga teacher.
